How We Vet Installers
We want to be upfront: we're a growing service and our vetting process is practical, not exhaustive. Here's exactly what we check:
Business Verification
We verify the installer is a registered business with a physical presence (not just a P.O. Box). We check Companies House records where applicable.
Experience & Expertise
Installers must demonstrate experience with robot mower installation, typically by being an authorised dealer for at least one major brand (Husqvarna, STIGA, Kress, etc.) or showing documented installation history.
Insurance
We request proof of public liability insurance. However, we recommend customers also confirm insurance directly before work begins.
What We Don't Check

- • We don't inspect installation quality on-site
- • We don't guarantee specific response times
We encourage you to do your own due diligence—check reviews, ask for references, and confirm qualifications before committing.
How We Make Money

Lead Fees
When you submit a quote request, up to 3 installers in your area may receive your details. Each installer pays a small fee (£14.99 currently) to access your enquiry.
This is our primary revenue source.
Directory Subscriptions
Installers can pay for enhanced directory listings with features like profile photos, extended descriptions, and "Featured" badges. Sponsored placements are always labelled.
Prices: £19.99–£99.99/month.
Affiliate Links
Our shop (robotmoweruk.co.uk) earns commissions on robot mower sales. Product links may include affiliate codes.
Shop and quote services are separate businesses.
What We Don't Do

Our Commitment to Fair Matching
Lead matching is based on coverage and availability, not payment. When you submit a request, we send your details to installers who have indicated they serve your postcode area, in the order they registered. Featured directory listings don't affect which installers receive leads—they only affect how installers appear in directory searches.
