RobotMowerQuotes.co.uk ("we", "us", "our") operates a UK-based lead generation platform connecting customers seeking robotic mower quotations with selected authorised UK dealers.
We are a Data Controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We work with a network of manually approved UK robotic mower dealers operating within your county to provide you with professional quotations.

2. Information We Collect
When you submit an enquiry through our website, we collect:
- Full name (first name and last name)
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Property address and postcode
- County/location
- Details relating to your robotic mower requirements (garden size, usage, property type)
- Any additional notes you provide about your requirements
Technical Data: For security, fraud prevention, and consent verification purposes, we also log your IP address and the timestamp of your submission. This is lawful under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) - Legitimate Interests.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to:
- Provide your enquiry details to 2–3 selected local authorised robotic mower dealers in your area
- Enable those dealers to contact you to provide a quotation
- Send you a confirmation email acknowledging your enquiry
- Maintain internal records for audit, compliance, and accounting purposes

4. Lawful Basis for Processing
We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

When you submit your enquiry and provide explicit consent to be contacted by selected local dealers. Your consent is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous through an unticked checkbox.

For retaining limited enquiry records for internal audit, compliance, and accounting purposes. Also for logging IP addresses for security and fraud prevention.
5. Sharing Your Information
Your enquiry will be made available to authorised robotic mower dealers operating within your county. Up to three dealers may obtain your enquiry details in order to contact you directly to provide a quotation.
Important: Once dealers receive your information, they act as independent Data Controllers and are responsible for their own handling of your data.
We require all participating dealers to:
- Use your information only to respond to your quotation request
- Comply with UK data protection law (UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR)
- Not sell, share, or misuse your data
- Delete unused lead data within 90 days
- Maintain appropriate security measures
- Contact you within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 48 hours)
All dealers on our platform are manually vetted and must sign a Data Sharing Agreement before accessing any customer information.
6. Data Retention
Our Retention Period
We retain enquiry information for up to 12 months from the date of submission for internal audit and accounting purposes. After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
Dealer Retention
Dealers receiving your information are required to delete unused lead data within 90 days if no transaction occurs. They may only retain data longer if a sale results, and only as required for contractual, warranty, or legal obligations.

Important Note on Consent Withdrawal: You may withdraw consent at any time; however, where your enquiry has already been accessed by a dealer, you may need to contact the dealer directly. We will prevent further sharing and notify relevant dealers of your request.
